Sheet Metal / Spiral Duct Fabrication
SKMES has one of the largest and most productive sheet metal ductwork fabrication facilities in the southeastern United States. Annually producing in excess of 2 million pounds of fabricated sheet metal ductwork, SKMES can handle our clients’ needs -- from the simplest requests to welded carbon steel duct, aluminum, stainless steel and galvanized (both rectangular and round spiral).
All ductwork is manufactured to the latest SMACNA industry standards. Our company manufactures our own single wall round spiral ductwork in-house. Sizes range from 5" to 48" in diameter. This gives our clients the advantage of faster production and delivery to a project site. This benefits both our customer and the end user, with reduced costs, speed of delivery and convenience.
SKMES is also able to produce internally insulated single wall round spiral ductwork. Some of our custom products include the following (available in copper, brass, colored metals and black iron):

SKMES also offers complete system design, installation, and start-up, plus testing and balancing for complete kitchen ventilation packages.
Over the years SKMES has invested significantly in our sheet metal fabrication facility. Products are manufactured in a 30,000 square foot factory by our dedicated team of craftsmen using cutting edge welding techniques. Current shop equipment value is in excess of $5 million dollars.
Specialized equipment includes:
- Hydraulic sheering and breaking equipment
- A fabrication coil-line
- 2 plasma cutting tables
- A longitudinal seam welder (for heavy gauge round and square duct)
- A spiral duct fabrication machine
- A 5-station welded duct fabrication area, with OSHA approved ventilation and fume control systems
